Sometimes it seems as if Al considers Communism to be the bad guy and America is the good guy.
I agree with Al that anti-Christ has worked greatly through communism and the Soviet Union.
And yet we should not see the historic battle of mankind as being between the forces of Americanism vs. Communism.
The world is under the control of the evil one. The historic battle has not even been between “good and evil” but rather between God and all that is in rebellion against God.
Communism is officially atheistic and that is evil. And yet the closest the Bible comes to dealing with atheism is, “The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”” Psalm 14:1.
From Genesis to Revelation the true rebellion is in the form of paganism, worshipping created things rather than the Creator (see Romans 1:25). The New Testament never explicitly teaches what the proper form of civil government should be. Therefore it is a disputable matter among Christians as we seek to apply the principles of scripture. The western democratic nations have been guilty of worshipping created things rather than the Creator just like communist nations.
