Roger Sherrard is a follower of Jesus who is a retired attorney from Poulsbo, Washington state.
In addition to his law practice, Roger has devoted his life to helping Albania establish an independent judiciary system following its freedom from communism in the 1990s.
It was my privilege to know Roger for a time in the 1980s as fellow participants in the prolife movement. We got to know each other during a march in Seattle. We were later supposed to be on a radio program together with a prolife physician, Roger as the legal specialist, and me as the picketing organizer activist. At the last minute the radio host didn’t want the attorney, as they said they had already covered the legal aspects of abortion previously. So, it was just the physician and me. But Roger still found a way to participate by calling in as a “concerned citizen” during the call-in question portion and asked us several supportive leading questions! Since Roger was a West Point grad, I’m sure I teased with a “Go Navy, Beat Army!” periodically. (… and vice versa!)
We can all be grateful for how Roger Sherrard has served the Body of Christ and society in general. The Washington State Bar Association presented Roger Sherrard with the Award of Merit at the bar’s 2019 APEX Awards on Sept. 26, 2019, in Seattle, Washington.
